Height of the house: 3.20m
Floor area approx.: 30m²
The walls of the vivarium are made of bricks, outside isolated with
5cm insulation boards and afterwards stuccoed.
The roof consists of an acryl-glass dome and a tin made flat roof.
In all walls there are two windows to let enough light inside the
house.
The house is heated with a radiator which is connected with the central
heating system of my dwelling house. Additionally there is a surface
of approx. 1.5 * 1m heated with an installed under floor heating.
Because of the glass dome the vivarium gets a lot of natural light.
The middle element of the glass dome is connected with a piston, which
– according to the temperature – opens the roof and therefore
makes the necessary ventilation.
